Method for illuminating image information on light sensitive material has a pixel generator for production of pixels on the light sensitive material. The illumination time for each pixel is equally shared between periods of positive and negative voltage. An independent claim is made for a device for illuminating a light sensitive material, e.g. an LED display, with a pixel generator.
