A reflective coating composition contains reflective glass debris which has a metallized or enameled surface or contains metal inclusions. A reflective coating composition, for traffic surfaces or associated safety or sign elements, contains 10-80 wt.% glass debris including ≥ 10 wt.% of less than 20 mm size reflective glass debris which has a metallized or enameled surface or contains metal inclusions. Independent claims are also included for (i) a coating for traffic surfaces, especially roads, cycle tracks, sidewalks, footpaths and parking lots, comprising a bituminous, hydraulic or polymeric binder and 10-80 wt.% of the glass debris described above; and (ii) a safety or sign element, especially safety barriers, kerbs and boundary markers, comprising a hydraulic or polymeric binder and 10-80 wt.% of the glass debris described above. |
