PURPOSE: A revetment block is provided to enhance strength and to protect an embankment. CONSTITUTION: The revetment block comprises revetment blocks(1,1a) formed by transforming square or rectangular corners into diagonal corners, a connecting bar provided with a connecting pin(9) exposed to the diagonal corners for connecting revetment blocks with the third revetment block located diagonally and buried under the revetment blocks(1,1a), and a stiffener buried together with the connecting bar.
