NEW COMPOUND SEPARATED FROM DENDROBIUM MONILIFORME HAVING VHR INHIBITORY ACTIVITY AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A novel compound separated from Dendrobium moniliforme having strong inhibitory activity against VHR(vaccine H1-related protein tyrosine phosphatase) is provided. It has excellent effect on suppressing proliferation of cancer cells and thus is useful as an anticancer agent. CONSTITUTION: The novel compound(CRM-202503) having VHR inhibitory activity is separated from Dendrobium moniliforme and represented by the formula 1. The anticancer agent contains the compound of formula 1 as an effective ingredient. It can be orally or parenterally administered in an amount of 1 to 20mg per kg body weight and day. For an example, 10g novel compound is mixed with 50g corn starch and 40g carboxy cellulose to produce powders.
