HYDRAULIC SHOE AND THE INSTALLATION METHOD FOR PREVENTING DAMAGE OF STRUCTURE BY INSTALLING ELASTIC BEARING TO EXISTING BRIDGE EXACTLY AND SAFELY

PURPOSE: A hydraulic shoe is provided to prevent the damage of a structure by installing an elastic bearing to the existing bridge exactly and safely, to decrease the time and manpower required for construction and to improve the load carrying capacity of a bridge. CONSTITUTION: The hydraulic shoe comprises the steps of fixing an upper plate(12) on the lower part of an upper structure of a bridge by an anchor bolt(10), installing an elastic pad(16) on the lower part of the upper plate(12), and installing a convex lower plate(14) provided with a tilting saddle(22), then installing a hydraulic jack(20) provided with a piston rod which contains a flange(24) to be adhered closely to the tilting saddle(22) installed on the lower part of the lower plate(14).
