<p>PURPOSE: Provided are a solidifying method using fly ash and cement for removal tailing waste at closed mine, which improves a physical property of the tailing waste, and solidifies a heavy metal of the waste into solid mass, and thus substantially decreases a solubility of the heavy metal, and an use of the solidified material. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (i) mixing a cement, a fly ash, and a tailing waste to form a mixture, and (ii) solidifying the mixture. In the step(i), 5-20 wt% of the waste, 5-20 wt% of fly ash, and 60-90 wt% of cement are mixed. The solidified material by the method, enables the tailing waste to have a small contact surface with surroundings(air, microbe) which are primary factors for forming an acid mine drainage(AMD), and decreases a re-elution of the heavy metal. Accordingly, the product can be recycled as architectural/civil engineering material.</p> |
