TOOL HOLDER INCLUDING LOCK NUT FOR FIXING CUTTING TOOL WITH CHUCK AND REDUCING FRICTIONAL RESISTANCE BETWEEN LOCK NUT AND TAPER COLLET

PURPOSE: A tool holder is provided to prevent a taper collet from rotating while reducing the frictional resistance between the lock nut and the taper collet. CONSTITUTION: A tool holder includes a lock nut for fixing a cutting tool with a chuck by pushing a taper collet into a taper hole(115) of a collet chuck body(11). A bearing washer for reducing the frictional resistance is interposed between both contacting faces between a reference terminal of the taper collet and a collet support(131). Each face contacting the reference terminal and the collet support is treated by one of ion nitration, diamond-like carbon coating and TiN coating.
