A generic message packet is created by combining the message to be transmitted and the required transmission data. The copies of the message packet are created for each recipient and modified according to the requirement of terminal devices (3 1>,3 2>,3 3>) of the recipient. The modified copies are transmitted according to the transmission protocol used by the terminal devices, using the transmission data included in the packet. An independent claim is also included for message transmission system.
