The shower-toilet chair for a handicapped person has a mobile support frame (1) and a secondary frame (2) adjustable in height by parallel bars (10,11) on opposite sides of the chair. The bars are rotatable by an electric drive system (31) held in a casing (30a) placed between two upright columns (8,9) fixed to the outer ends of a cross beam (4). The cross beam connects two longitudinal bars which support the wheels of the chair. The parallel bars (10,11) rotate in relation to the upright columns and support at their other end an assembly plate (12), which supports the tippable secondary frame. An electrically operable pressure rod can tip the secondary frame backwards. The chair is radiographically operable by means of an operating panel located on the back rest (19) of the chair.
