The invention relates to a co-extruded plastic slip surface for making a tray to be placed on a merchandising display rack provided with shelves, which comprises: a slide (2) having a low friction slip surface, comprising a co-extruded plastic base plate (6) and a plurality of co-extruded plastic beads (8). The beads (8) are formed of a compounded plastic, comprising a mixture of high-impact styrene and a silicone percentage ranging from 0.5 to 10. The base plate (6) is formed of high-impact styrene. The silicone in the beads (8) confers them a lower surface friction in comparison with the base plate (6), the transfer of the product along the slide being made easier thereby. The beads (8) are formed of a light-coloured plastic, while the base plate (6) is formed of a dark-coloured plastic in order to hide the impurities while still creating an attractive merchandizing shelf rack using the slide. |
