PURPOSE: A force-applying input device offering a manually operated interface to an operating unit is provided to stably control the manually operated interface by timely offering the manually operated interface to the operating unit in response to manipulation of the operating unit. CONSTITUTION: The input device comprises a rotating shaft(1), the operating unit(2), a position sensor(3) detecting a rotation direction/amount of the rotating shaft, an actuator(4) offering the manually operated interface to the operating unit through the rotating shaft, and a controller(5) generating a driving signal of the actuator by receiving a position signal(a) output from the position sensor. The controller comprises an input part(11) receiving the position signal, an operating part(12) calculating an actuator driving signal(b), a memory(13) storing functions, coefficients, torque patterns, and operation processing flows, and a driver circuit(14), and a CPU(15).
