METHOD, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR DYNAMICALLY REALLOCATING SHARED PROCESSING RESOURCES AMONG LOGIC PARTITIONS

PURPOSE: A method, a device, and a program product for dynamically reallocating shared processing resources among logic partitions are provided to dynamically reallocate the shared processing resources among logic partitions on a computing environment based on a processor usage in the logic partition. CONSTITUTION: A main memory(120) includes a partition manager(121), a dynamic processor allocating mechanism(124), and at least two logic partitions(125,127). The partition manager generates one main partition and at least two sub partitions. The main partition includes an OS(Operating System)(126), and the sub partitions respectively include the OS(128). The dynamic processor allocating mechanism reallocates the shared processing resources to the over-utilized partition from the under-utilized partition.
