PURPOSE: A memory managing method in a base station of a CDMA mobile communication system is provided to reduce a load of a digital signal processor by managing segments allocated to each finger of each channel by using one table. CONSTITUTION: If a diffusion coefficient is not 4, a register table directly manages up to four segments required for each finger by channels, and if the diffusion coefficient is 4, eight segments are managed by the four segments recorded in the register table. By setting segment allocation bits by fingers, even if resources of a dedicated physical data channel delay buffer are not sufficient, the remaining finger and a dedicated physical control channel buffer can be used. |
