APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FILTERING TRAFFIC FLOW TEMPLATE PACKET ACCORDING TO INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for filtering a TFT(Traffic Flow Template) packet according to an Internet protocol version in a mobile communication system are provided to minimize the amount of bit operation in filtering a TFT packet. CONSTITUTION: When a GGSN(Gateway GPRS Support Node) receives IP packet data through a Gi interface(1811), it checks whether a secondary call is set in information matched to a PDP address by checking the destination address of the IP packet data(1813). If the secondary call is set, the GGSN selects the second GTP(GPRS Tunneling Protocol) tunnel to select a TFT packet filter with the highest priority level from the first TFT information(1815). The GGSN selects a GTP tunnel corresponding to current TFT information(1817) and then performs a packet procedure to process the IP packet data(1821).
