PURPOSE: A method for processing and forming an aspheric surface is provided to promptly cut a rough aspheric surface by controlling the direction of the movement of a rotating table. CONSTITUTION: Cutting is started at the rotational center of a work. The part at which a bite(325) firstly contacts the work is the rotational center of no centrifugal force or near the rotational center. Thus, immediate bite contacting is possible. Processing is finished by moving the bite only to a necessary area. According to the starting of cutting at the rotational center of the work or near the rotational center, the speed of the bite is maintained. Thus, time for a cutting process is reduced.
