METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SCANNING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for scanning a plasma display panel are provided to reduce scan time by simultaneously selecting cells included in over two lines using a scan pulse and a wall charge. CONSTITUTION: A data driving circuit(71) is connected to address electrodes(X1,...,Xm). A first scan/sustain driving circuit(72) provides a scan signal and a sustain signal to Y electrodes(Y1,...,Yn). A second scan/sustain driving circuit(73) provides a scan signal and a sustain signal to Z electrodes. A power generating unit(75) supplies driving power to the data driving circuit and the first and second scan/sustain driving circuits. A timing controller(74) controls the data driving circuit and the first and second scan/sustain driving circuits.
