PURPOSE: A light control console apparatus and a method for controlling light are provided to allow for ease of installation of light by controlling position of light in accordance with the offset position data for light. CONSTITUTION: A light control console apparatus comprises an operating unit(1) including a key button unit(11) having a plurality of function keys and numeral keys for inputting operating signals of a user; a memory unit(3) for storing discriminating data for light, offset position data for projection position of light, and scene data; a control unit(5) for reading the scene data stored in the memory unit, outputting a light control signal in accordance with the read data, and controlling light by correcting the light control signal in accordance with offset position data of light stored in the memory; and a display unit(7) for displaying operating data.
