FIELD: medical equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: carriage has mechanism for preventing wheel chair from movement, spring-loaded foldable poles and pedal with wheels. Poles are adapted for engagement of invalid's wheel chair with ramps. Upon pressing of pedal, spring-loaded poles are caused to diverge aside. Said mechanism is designed for preventing wheel chair from back stroke and is equipped with ratchet wheels, catches and drive made in the form of lever for step-by-step descending of wheel chair by value equal to stroke of ratchet wheel tooth. Carriage of such construction allows attending personnel to apply force lower than useful weight of wheel chair and of invalid during ascending and descending by 2.2 times. ^ EFFECT: simplified and compact construction facilitating easy movement of wheel chair over surface of staircase. ^ 10 dwg |
