The device (1) has an endless screw (6) mounted at an interior of a casing (16) and moving axially when a force applied to a tangent toothed wheel (7) is greater than a driving force of the screw to move front wheels of the cart. The axial displacement of the screw is assured by a friction contact of the screw against a stationary surface (16A). The braking of the screw results in immobilization of the front wheels. An independent claim is also included for an automatic motor such as that of a golf pull cart, having a differential transmission device.
