PURPOSE: A data recovery apparatus in a high speed serial link and a recovery method thereof are provided to reduce error generation during data recovery by generating a sampling clock signal so that a plurality of edges of the sampling clock signal exist in an eye open area of serial data. CONSTITUTION: According to the apparatus(100) for recovering serial data received through a high speed serial link as parallel data, a clock generation circuit(200) generates at least two group clock signals including the first group clock signal and the second group clock signal(CLKODD,CLKEVEN) having different phases each other. A data recovery circuit uses one of the two group clock signals selectively according to the number of rising edges of the group clock signals existing in an eye open area of the serial data, and recovers the serial data as the parallel data.
