PURPOSE: A skin whitening cosmetic composition containing a liquid culture obtained by culturing a liquid mixture of grape and cucumber with Paecilomyces japonica mycelium is provided. It is greatly improved in tyrosinase inhibitory effect, namely skin whitening effect while containing piceatannol and quercetin having anticancer effect and anticoagulant effect in large quantities. CONSTITUTION: The skin whitening cosmetic composition contains a liquid culture obtained by culturing a liquid mixture of grape and cucumber with Paecilomyces japonica mycelium. In the liquid mixture of grape and cucumber, the content of the cucumber is 30 to 70% by volume, preferably 40 to 70% by volume, based on the total volume of the liquid mixture. The content of effective ingredient such as piceatannol or the like can be reduced when the cucumber exceeds 70% by volume.
