The roof has a panel (6) to be moved by a guiding unit (16) to a closed position in a passenger zone of a vehicle and a retractable position in a rear zone of the vehicle. A back covering structure (10) has a rear plate (12) that is apt to be rotated between a rest and open position. The rear plate is rotated towards the open position during a movement of the panel from a retractable position towards closed position. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle.
