FIELD: radiolocation technologies. ^ SUBSTANCE: method includes orientation of knife-edge pattern along direction of satellite flight, probing impulses are sent to ocean surface into nadir and by each impulse a spot is lit on measured surface with dimensions of about 10-15x200-300 km, and during receiving of reflected impulses temporary and Doppler selection on basis of distance is used as well as procedure of synthesizing of cross-section of backward scattering ς0y, while dispersion of slants ς2theta of ocean surface in direction of flight is determined from an equation: where delta - width (in degrees) of directional pattern at level 0.5 of power, ς0,max - cross-cut of backward scattering during vertical fall of flat wave onto surface, ς0y - backward scattering cross-cut, received during said synthesizing, and specified speed value V of surface-adjacent wind is determined from one-parameter algorithm with consideration of dispersion ς2theta of slants. ^ EFFECT: wider set of ocean parameters measured from space. ^ 4 dwg |
