FIELD: microwave engineering; traveling-wave tubes and their hybrids. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed traveling-wave tube of first design alternate has sections of chain of intercoupled ferromagnetic-disk resonators and nonmagnetic diaphragms in-between with azimuthal coupling slits turned in disks relative to diaphragm slits through radians; axes of disks and diaphragms carry drift tubes; section-separating disks are made of ferromagnetic material; annular absorber of inner diameter dai ranging within 2rsi dai dti, where rsi is inner radius of coupling slit; dti is inner diameter of drift tube, is soldered over outer diameter into longitudinal part of diaphragm; transversal part of diaphragm on absorber end is flat; gap hg between transversal part of diaphragm and absorber is chosen relative to resonator diameter dr within 0.05 hg/dr 0.01 and its thickness ha relative to resonator height hr, within 0.7 ha/hr 0.3; ferromagnetic disk of section of interconnected-resonators chain is mounted on drift tube projection at absorber-incorporating diaphragm end of annular nonmagnetic conducting member having inner diameter equal to outer diameter of drift tube; angle between centers of slits in absorber-incorporating diaphragm and in ferromagnetic disk of section of interconnected-resonators chain abutting against diaphragm is chosen within , where is aperture angle of coupling slit in section of interconnected-resonators chain. Other design alternate of traveling-wave tube is characterized in that one more or two conducting members are installed on surface of ferromagnetic disk abutting against absorber-incorporating diaphragm. ^ EFFECT: ability of dissipation in high-power absorber and matching of the latter with slow-wave structure of low reflectivity. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg |
