FIELD: medicine, pharmacology, biochemistry, natural products. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention describes a broad field of medicinal agents and methods for suppression of morbidity states associated with a large field of human and veterinary pharmacology wherein activation of lipoxygenase-mediated conducting ways promotes to the pathological state. Invention relates to new lipids obtaining from sea cucumber of class Holothuridia and, especially, from its species Cucumaria frondosa. New lipids extracted from some classes or species of sea cucumber inhibit activity of enzyme lipoxygenase and/or are able to bind leukotriene receptors. Oils from some species of such sea cucumbers can be used for pigmentation of marine animals species by their addition to the nutrient composition and for treatment of diseases and relief in diseases course wherein products formed by lipoxygenase action or the leukotriene response results to deterioration of pathological state. Methods for application and composition of substances proposed by the invention provide treatment of inflammatory, autoimmune and other diseases by prescribing lipid fractions extracted from sea cucumber tissues. ^ EFFECT: valuable medicinal properties of fractions. ^ 43 cl, 9 dwg, 7 ex |
