A sanitary tub comprising: a tub body (3) defining an interior and an exterior of the sanitary tub; a tub edge (4) integrally formed with the tub body and disposed on a perimeter of the tub body in a substantially horizontal orientation and turned towards the exterior of the sanitary tub; a collar (5) integrally formed with the tub body and disposed on a circumference of the tub edge in a substantially vertical orientation; a carrier (6) secured to the collar, the carrier having a bottom edge (8) arranged at a distance above the tub edge; and a tub edge covering (7) secured to the carrier; wherein the bottom edge of the carrier and the tub edge form a groove which is open toward the interior of the sanitary tub. |
