SECURITY METHOD FOR FINANCIAL SETTLEMENT USING BIOMETRIC RECOGNITION AND SYSTEM THEREOF

PURPOSE: A security method for financial settlement using biometric recognition and a system thereof are provided to enhance the security of a fingerprint recognition system used when a user uses an ATM(Automated Teller Machine) and pays a purchase price by using a card checker or using the EC(Electronic Commerce) on the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A card reader(11) requests the card data to a user information database(21) and a biometric recognition database(22) of a financial institution(20) by reading the information recorded in a card when a user inserts the card. An ATM(Automated Teller Machine)(10), a CD(Cash Dispenser)(10-1), a card checker(10-2), and a card settlement device(10-3) are equipped with a biometric recognition module(12) reading a fingerprint or a voice of the user. A financial settlement institution system(30) includes a personal information database(31) and the biometric recognition database(32) evaluating/storing the credit information of the user transmitted from the financial institutions or member shops.
