PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal for speech recognition whose recognition precision and recognition speed are increased, and to provide a speech recognition system. SOLUTION: A speech recognition dictionary is constructed by a construction means, based on the pronunciation of an object to be recognized included in data for identifying the object containing the pronunciation of the object received by a reception section. A speech recognition means retrieves whether input speech data generated, based on a speech signal inputted from a microphone 13, are registered at the speech recognition dictionary as the pronunciation of the object.
