PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, low-cost automatic liquid sample analyzer for storing a number of sample retaining plates and chips for automatic replenishment. SOLUTION: The automatic liquid sample analyzer 10 comprises a storage means 26 that has a plurality of housing sections 24 for housing a sample retaining plate 12, and carries in/out an object to be housed in a forward/backward direction vertical to a perpendicular surface while the plurality of housing sections 24 are arranged along the common perpendicular surface; and a conveying means 28 that retains the sample retaining plate 12 and can be moved along the perpendicular surface for conveying the sample retaining plate 12 between the housing means 26 and a dispensing stage 18.
