PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device with a claw that is disposed in a conveying line and laterally transfers a steel material. SOLUTION: The transfer device with the claw is disposed in the conveying line and laterally transfers the steel material. A claw automatically knocking-down device in the transfer with the claw has a simple structure comprising the claw having a rotating shaft and a rotation roller and a slide mechanism having a slide surface on which the rotation roller slides. The rotation roller slides on the slide mechanism disposed in the conveying line and automatically knocking down the claw in the conveying line, thereby allowing conveyance of a next steel material during moving the claw to avoid cycle time loss and energy loss.
