PURPOSE: A pressure detecting apparatus is provided to reduce a diameter of an elongate housing by aligning an output terminal within a range of a pressure detecting element without forming a bonding wire at an outer portion of the pressure detecting element. CONSTITUTION: A pressure detecting apparatus includes an elongate housing(10), a pressure detecting element(20), a pressure transferring member(30), a connector(40) and a connection member(50). The elongate housing(10) is installed in an engine. The pressure detecting element(20) is accommodated in the elongate housing(10). The pressure transferring member(30) is disposed between the pressure detecting element(20) and a partition plate(15). The connector(40) is installed on the other end of the elongate housing(10). The pressure detecting element(20) is electrically connected to the connector(40) by means of the connection member(50).
