<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely measure an SAR (specific absorption rate) value such as average SAR in a simple method and simple apparatus constitution at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: A specific absorption rate measuring apparatus for a wireless device measures a near magnetic field of an electric wave radiated from a reference wireless device or a reference antenna in a free space, measures a specific absorption rate (SAR) concerning the electric wave radiated from the reference wireless device or the reference antenna by using a phantom in a prescribed measuring method, and previously calculates a conversion coefficient α by dividing the measured specific absorption rate (SAR) by a square value of the measured near magnetic field. An SAR calculation controller 20 measures the near magnetic field of the electric wave radiated from the wireless device of an object to be measured in a free space, and estimates and calculates the specific absorption rate (SAR) concerning the electric wave radiated from the wireless device of the object to be measured by multiplying the conversion coefficient α calculated into the square value of the measured near magnetic field. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
