摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate capable of enhancing contrast, color reproducibility and patterning property by providing tapers having a plurality of angles in the identical layer, to provide its manufacturing method and to provide an electrooptical device and an electronic device using the color filter substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The substrate for the electrooptical device having a substrate and a first resin layer provided on the substrate is so constituted that tapers of the first resin layer have a plurality of angles different from each other. In the case of a multi gap type semitransmissive reflection type liquid crystal display, the gradient of the taper of an overcoat film 10 formed on a color filter 7 is made high in a display pixel region to enhance contrast and made low in an electrode wiring laying part to prevent wiring disconnection or the like. In the case of the substrate for a liquid crystal display having alignment control protrusions, the shapes of the alignment control protrusions formed in every color pixel regions of red, green and blue are optimized to improve characteristics of display colors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
