PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording/reproducing device which does not damage bare optical disk. SOLUTION: The device is the optical disk recording/reproducing device in which an optical disk 53, in which a recording area 54 which is optically recordable by light incidence is formed on at least one side of a plane inside a diameter of the disk and an external range for an outside diameter of a turntable for supporting the disk, can be inserted in a state where either it is accommodated in a cartridge or it is in a bare state, and the recording reproducing is made possible for the optical disk 53.
