PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzyme inhibition immunoassay for measuring analytes in biological samples. SOLUTION: The method for measuring analytes in biological samples is characterized in that uncompetitive inhibitor is coupled to a ligand and utilized in a homogeneous assay. The analyte can be a drug, drug derivative, hormone, polypeptide, or oligonucleotide. Novel compounds, assay reagents, and packaged kits, useful for performing such measurements, are also provided.
