PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wall-thickness of the plate of a bracket for a knee-pad. SOLUTION: The bracket 22R is shaped approximately like a groove and includes a holding plate 30 and a pair of side walls 32 extending from both side end parts of the holding plate 30. A third bead 52 is formed on each of the pair of the side walls 32, extending in the direction vertical to the holding plate 30. The bracket 22R is fitted onto an instrument panel reinforcement 12 in a posture wherein the holding plate 30 is placed vertical to the incoming direction of the knees of a rider. The third bead 52 extends in the direction approximately parallel to the knee's incoming direction. This renders it difficult for the bracket 22R to be deformed in response to the knee's incoming, and makes it possible for the bracket 22R to have a greater strength than when the third bead 52 is not installed, thereby the wall-thickness of the plate of the bracket 22R can be reduced, resulting in successfully reducing weight and cost.
