The invention relates to a device comprising an interactive call unit, which can be used for submitting situation-dependent requests for materials or staff with the option of status display. The device is battery-powered and wireless, and is preferably provided with the connection options for a LAN network and for peripheral devices, such as input devices, barcode scanners, additional displays and/or printers. It is provided with a globally approved wireless card and preferably has an optical and/or acoustic signal transmitter. A preferred field of application includes assembly line production. Due to the prevailing conditions, normally only one product can be produced. In motor vehicle assembly, for example, the extensive variety and in part the large-sized parts that are required for producing a certain model prevent a production of several vehicle models at the same time, which is in increasing demand for economic reasons. The device allows for the user-dependent active intervention in the control of logistics, thereby allowing for parallel production. |
