A positioner for a control valve assembly is disclosed wherein the positione r is mounted internally to thus protect the positioner from damage stemming fr om environmental, impact, or other outside influences. Accordingly, not only ca n the position of the valve be accurately measured, but the sensing hardware i s less subjected to damage or other drawbacks associated with exposure.
