PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium which can perform optical servo tracking without affecting to a surface of a magnetic layer, while achieving further densification. SOLUTION: The magnetic recording medium has non-magnetic layers including non-magnetic powder and binder and magnetic layers including ferromagnetic powder and binder on a non-magnetic support object in this order.
