PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image depositing apparatus and an image depositing method which automatically record/accumulate images recorded in a digital camera, etc., without doubling, and output the images to other external apparatus, etc. SOLUTION: The image depositing apparatus 1 records in its memory images recorded by a digital camera 100 mounted on a mount 2. An output instruction button 6 is pushed to transfer the taken image from the digital camera 100 to an external apparatus connected to the depositing apparatus 1. It has a charging function and hence a user of the camera 100 can transfer the image to the external apparatus easily as a purpose for the charging use by pressing only the output instruction button 6 after mounting the camera 100 on the depositing apparatus.
