PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that enables the user to easily confirm the focused position in an image when a user changes a focused position. SOLUTION: A digital camera is provided with a manual focusing function. When a focused position of a lens group is changed with the manual focus function, a display apparatus 20 displays a target frame Tf movable to an optional position (states ST11, ST12). When the user performs a prescribed operation in this state, an area corresponding to the target frame Tf is displayed with magnification, a sub block most closely focused in this area is specified and a frame f2 denoting the sub block is displayed (state ST15).
