摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in a standby state more by shortening a standby reception wake-up period while maintaining the precision of a decision on whether reselection is necessary. SOLUTION: In each reception wake-up period, a DSP 5 decides the reception quality of a radio signal reaching from an active base station on the basis of thresholds Q1 and Q2, and a CPU 6 varies and sets a reception quality measurement period length for the active base station in a next reception wake-up period according to the decision result. Further, the DSP 5 decides a difference between the reception quality of the radio signal reaching from the active base station and the reception quality of a radio signal reaching from a peripheral base station on the basis of a threshold Q3 and the CPU 6 varies and sets reception quality measurement period lengths for the active base station and a peripheral base station in the next reception wake-up period according to the decision result.
