The device has a housing (12) with clamping parts (17) to lock a tightening bolt (11) positioned on a palette. Each clamping part is formed as a ring segment, guided in radial direction. Clamping faces of the bolts and the contacting faces of each segment are formed as sloping surfaces (23). Each ring segment is guided in radial and vertical direction in such a way that the clamping forces transmitted by them to the bolts become active before reaching end position. A ring-shaped locking piston (15) moving vertically inside the housing also has sloping surfaces, so that the ring segment are move into clamping and release positions by movement of the piston.
