<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain effects of both of an antioxidant activity and an ultraviolet-absorbing activity by using a material derived from a natural product except Chlorophyceae and Phaeophyceae, and further except of Asakusa laver, agar-agar, Rhodoglossum japonicum, Helminthocladia australis Harvey and Bangia of Rhodophyceae which are used in a conventional antioxidant. <P>SOLUTION: The antioxidant and ultraviolet-absorbing activities are obtained by using a material derived from a natural product of a minute alga and being at least one extract of the minute alga selected from the genus Spirulina, the genus Nostoc or the genus Oscillatoria of Nostocales of Anabaena, the genus Chroodactylon, the genus Rhodospirillum or the genus Chroothece of Porphyridiales of Rhodophyceae, the genus Pleurochrysis of Isochrysidales of Haptophyceae, and Phaeocystis of Prymnesidales. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
