<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing conductive ceramic suitable for fabrication of an aluminum melting vessel such as a boat or crucible and having excellent corrosion resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the conductive ceramic, a powdery raw material which contains 3 to 40 mass% amorphous boron nitride containing ≥3 mass% oxygen, 20 to 70 mass% titanium diborate, and 10 to 60 mass% aluminum nitride and in which the total of the components amounts to ≥97 mass% is molded and sintered at 1,800 to 2,200°C under ≤30 MPa pressure (including a normal pressure) to obtain a compact of ≥90% relative density. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
