<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag apparatus for the front seat next to a driver, of which the workability is improved remarkably to make it possible to attach or detach an air bag module easily without relying on visual recognition upon replacing the air bag module without removing an instrument panel. <P>SOLUTION: The air bag apparatus comprises the air bag module 1 in which a bag body 2 is housed, and flexible wall surfaces 15, which enclose the air bag module 1 and can be hung on the lower surface of the instrument panel 7. The air bag module 1 has a retainer 3 having opposite faces, on each of which a cramp 14 is formed, and a hook 10, on which a plurality of nails 11 projecting outward are formed intermittently, can be engaged/disengaged with the cramp 14. Each wall surface 15 has a locking strip 8 opposite to the hook 10, and engaging parts 9, which can be engaged/disengaged with the nails 11 of the hook 10, are formed on the locking strip 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
