SEALING STRUCTURE OF SOLID SUBSTANCE CONVEYING SCREW AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF REDUCED METAL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure of a solid substance conveying screw such as a raw material levelling screw mounted inside a heating furnace and a product discharging screw capable of moving up and down the solid substance conveying screw while securing an airtightness of the heating furnace during its operation. SOLUTION: A driving shaft 4 of the solid substance conveying screw 3 passes through a through-hole 6 arranged on both side walls 2 of the heating furnace 1, and is supported by a supporting device 7 being vertically movable, which is arranged on both sides of the outside of the heating furnace 1. A seal block 8 is mounted so as to surround the vicinity of an edge portion 6a at an outside furnace side of the through-hole 6. A slide panel 9 having a sliding hole 10 for passing through and sliding the driving shaft 4 is arranged on the outside furnace side rather than the seal block 8.
