<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine for restraining generation of white smoke by restraining a discharge quantity of an unburnt fuel component. <P>SOLUTION: When determining that the exhaust air-fuel ratio detected by an air-fuel ratio sensor falls within a target range, an additional quantity of fuel correction is not made (S305). When determining that the exhaust air-fuel ratio detected by the air-fuel ratio sensor does not fall within the target range, determination is made on whether or not a detected value is the high side of the oxygen concentration to the target range. When determining that the oxygen concentration is the high side, processing of a correction A is performed (S307). When determining that the oxygen concentration is the low side, processing of a correction B is performed (S308).
