ADSORBENT FOR NITROGEN OXIDE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AND REGENERATING THE SAME, METHOD FOR REMOVING NITROGEN OXIDE AND METHOD FOR CLEANING NITROGEN OXIDE-CONTAINING GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide (1) an adsorbent suitable for adsorbing and removing nitrogen oxide or the like with a low concentration of about 5 ppm or below, (2) an adsorbent manufacturing method, (3) an adsorbent regenerating method, (4) a method for removing nitrogen oxide or the like using the adsorbent and (5) a method for cleaning a nitrogen oxide-containing gas using the adsorbent.

SOLUTION: (1) The adsorbent for nitrogen oxide or the like contains an iron/cobalt alloy. (2) The adsorbent is manufactured by heating an adsorbent precursor containing respective components in the presence of a reducing agent. (3) The adsorbent is regenerated by heating the used adsorbent in the presence of the reducing agent. (4) The gas containing nitrogen oxide is brought into contact with the adsorbent to adsorb and remove nitrogen oxide. (5) The gas containing nitrogen oxide is brought into contact with the adsorbent to adsorb and remove nitrogen oxide and the adsorbent having adsorbed nitrogen oxide is heated in the presence of the reducing agent not only to dissociate nitrogen oxide but also to regenerate the adsorbent and the dissociated nitrogen oxide is subjected to denitrification.
