<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a face plate of a golf club head, increasing elastic deformability, reinforcing the structure, and heightening the yield. <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the face plate of the golf club head includes: a step of heightening the spreadability of a metal plate of the face plate by high temperature melting treatment; a step of punching the metal plate of the face plate to bend an annular wall and a bent part; and a step of heightening the mechanical strength of the face plate, the annular wall and the bent part by ageing precipitation curing after the face plate is bonded to a head body. The face plate, the annular wall and the bent part are thus manufactured by utilizing the punching step, whereby the punched face plate, annular wall and bent part are given comparatively better mechanical strength, uniform structure and comparatively smaller thickness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
